Successful Early Stage Development of Pharmaceuticals
The International Association of Pharmaceutical Technology (APV) is holding a workshop on the Successful Early Stage Development of Pharmaceuticals on 5th and 6th March in Darmstadt, Germany.
The course is designed for all scientists, project and technical managers working in the
field of early drug development in particular those involved in pharmaceutical profiling, candidate selection, preformulation and the development of formulations for Phase I.
It takes into account the challenges and issues faced by scientists and managers in both Big Pharma and smaller companies. The workshop is co-chaired by Tower Pharma Consulting's founder, Louise Rosenmayr-Templeton.

Novel Formulation and Delivery Strategies for Biopharmaceuticals
Dr Louise Rosenmayr-Templeton presented on Novel Formulation and Delivery Strategies for Biopharmaceuticals
at the BioProduction 2012 conference which took place on 24-25 October 2012 in Berlin, Germany.
Her presentation concerned the use of formulation and delivery technology to develop "biobetters" and the role of this
technology in product differentiation and defending market share. The current status of novel formulation strategies for biotech products and their potential was reviewed with particular emphasis on controlled release implants, the oral and nasal delivery of peptides, and protein stabilisation technologies.
